Address Sign - Installation Instructions

Thank you for purchasing our premium address signs. To ensure a secure and proper installation, please follow the instructions below. Our signs come with three types of mounting options: 2 holes, 4 holes, or an attached D-ring hanger on the back. The installation method may vary depending on the surface you are attaching the sign to.

Tools Required:

  • Drill (for hard surfaces)
  • Screwdriver
  • Level
  • Pencil or marker for marking drill holes
  • Tape measure (optional for precise placement)

Materials Included:

  • Your chosen address sign
  • Suitable screws for your sign type (Screw size: #8 wood screws for wooden surfaces, wall plugs for masonry)

For Signs with 2 or 4 Holes:

  1. Positioning Your Sign: Decide where you want to place the sign. Use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the wall through the pre-drilled holes in the sign with a pencil or marker.
  2. Drilling (if necessary): For hard surfaces like brick or concrete, use a drill to make holes where you've marked. Ensure the drill bit size matches the wall plugs provided.
  3. Insert Wall Plugs (for masonry): If you're drilling into masonry, insert the wall plugs into the holes.
  4. Screwing the Sign in Place: Align the holes in the sign with the drilled holes or wall plugs. Use a screwdriver to screw in the #8 wood screws (or suitable screws for your surface type). Tighten until the sign is securely in place but be careful not to overtighten.

For Signs with an Attached D-Ring Hanger:

  1. Choosing the Location: Determine where you want the sign to hang. Ensure the location allows the sign to hang straight and is visible.
  2. Installing a Hook or Screw: Install a hook or screw (not included) into the surface where you want your sign to hang. For drywall, you may need to use a drywall anchor. For wooden surfaces, a screw directly into the wood may suffice.
  3. Hanging the Sign: Once the hook or screw is securely in place, hang the sign by the D-ring hanger on the back of the sign. Adjust as necessary to ensure the sign is level.

Additional Tips:

  • Installation methods may vary depending on the surface. For special surfaces, consult with a hardware professional to ensure you use the correct fasteners and method.
  • Always wear safety gear when using tools.
  • Measure twice, drill once to avoid unnecessary holes in your surface.

Mailbox Numbers - Installation Instructions

Thank you for choosing our high-quality, self-adhesive mailbox numbers. Made from durable 1/8" thick acrylic with full coverage 3M adhesive on the back, these numbers are designed for easy installation and long-lasting performance. Follow the steps below to ensure your numbers are installed correctly and look great.

Tools & Materials Provided:

  • Acrylic mailbox numbers with 3M adhesive backing
  • Cleaning wipe
  • Temporary stick-on ruler

Before You Begin:

  • Ensure the temperature is above 32°F (0°C) and that the mailbox surface is dry. Adhesive may not perform well in colder temperatures or on wet surfaces.

Installation Steps:

1. Surface Preparation:

Clean the area where the numbers will be placed using the provided cleaning wipe. Allow the surface to dry completely. This step ensures that the adhesive will bond properly to the mailbox.

2. Planning Your Layout:

Temporarily place the numbers on the mailbox without removing the adhesive backing to decide on the exact placement. Use the temporary stick-on ruler to ensure the numbers are aligned and spaced evenly.

3. Applying the Temporary Ruler:

Stick the temporary ruler on the mailbox as a guide. It will help you align the numbers straight and at the desired height.

4. Attaching the Numbers:

  • Carefully peel off the adhesive backing from the first number. Be sure not to touch the adhesive to keep it clean and effective.
  • Using the temporary ruler as your guide, place the number on the mailbox. Press firmly over the entire surface of the number for about 30 seconds to ensure a strong bond.
  • Repeat this process for each number, ensuring they are straight and evenly spaced according to your layout plan.

5. Finishing Touches:

  • Once all numbers are in place, remove the temporary ruler from the mailbox.
  • Press over the numbers once more to ensure they are securely attached.

6. Post-Installation:

Avoid disturbing or putting pressure on the numbers for 24 hours after installation to allow the adhesive to cure properly.

Tips for Success:

  • For best results, install on a clean, smooth surface. Textured or uneven surfaces may affect adhesion.
  • If installing in cooler weather, warm the mailbox surface slightly with a hair dryer before applying the numbers (be careful not to overheat the acrylic).
  • Ensure your hands are clean when handling the adhesive backing to prevent contamination that could weaken the bond.

By following these instructions, your mailbox numbers will be securely attached and looking great. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our customer support team. Enjoy your new mailbox numbers!..
